Garnier strengthens sustainable commitment

Garnier has renewed its partnership with the nonprofit movement, Take 3 for the Sea, strengthening its commitment to protecting the environment.

For every Garnier product purchased at Woolworths nationwide through the month of September, through its partnership with Take 3 for the Sea, the beauty brand will support the removal of three pieces of plastic or litter from Australian waterways, beaches and oceans.

“At Garnier, we truly believe that beauty can be a force for good and are committed to reducing our environmental impact at every stage of the value chain,” says Garnier Marketing Director, Alexander Bachem, commenting on the ‘Buy One, Remove 3’ initiative.

This initiative with Woolworths and Take 3 for the Sea plays an important role in Garnier’s commitment to Green Beauty and the fight against plastic pollution while allowing consumers to come on the journey with us.”

Take 3: every little bit counts

In addition to supporting Garnier’s sustainability efforts through the purchase of the products,  Take 3 for the Sea encourages every Australian to “take 3” pieces of rubbish with them when they leave the beach, ocean, waterway, local park, or anywhere.

While we’re all encouraged to do our bit in supporting the environment and sustainable efforts, Take 3 for the Sea CEO Jacquie Riddell says the continued partnership with Garnier will assist in supporting the efforts on a larger scale.

“Garnier’s commitment to supporting the recycling of over 600,000 pieces of plastic will have a significant impact on the levels of plastic currently recorded in our oceans today,” says Ms Riddell.

“Partnering with like-minded brands is an important step in reaching our target of removing 50 million pieces of rubbish from the environment by 2025.”
