A new year brings upon us the opportunity to challenge ourselves with new goals and resolutions that truly improve the quality of our lives. Every year, I reflect on the previous year and visualise what I could do to alter and improve my life. My top tips: believe in yourself, stick to your goals and don’t give up – you can do it! Set time for yourself. Having a little ‘me time’ is a great way to unwind from a stressful day at work and allows you to think about life. Activities that encompass ‘me time’ include going for a walk, doing a face mask, or watching that TV show you really wanted to watch. ‘Me time’ really is the best time. PATY STATE/TERRITORY WINNERS 29       Pack some  February is the time people start heading back to school. How can students and teachers stay healthy as they head back into the classroom? As we begin to head back to the old normal, we must prepare for the new normal. Keeping each other safe from catching illness should always be a top priority. An easy and effective way to keep one another safe is to frequently wash your hands, especially before and after eating food, as well as staying home if you’re sick or feeling unwell. Mental health also needs to be a priority when going back to school. Stay active, keep in touch with friends and check up on each other from time to time, do something you enjoy doing and do not be afraid to ask for help if you need someone to talk to – we’re all in this together. As a collective, we can minimise the spread of germs and stay happy and healthy. Resolutions can come in all shapes and sizes. They can be physical changes, work changes and mindset changes. A resolution that’s a bit left of field is taking time to slow down. As Aussies, we naturally glorify a busy life, but that can burn out your body and mind. Find something you can let go of in your life to make way for something that fulfils and restores you. February is the time people start heading back to school. How can students and teachers stay healthy as they head back into the classroom? The last thing we all want is extra sick days for everyone after school holidays. mini hand sanitiser for your kids to use at break time. Try to equip your keen learners with some immune boosters before they head back to school.
