Free QCPP approved refresher training at PA2019

This year’s Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA2019) in Brisbane will host a free QCPP Approved Refresher Training for conference delegates, providing a convenient opportunity for pharmacy assistants to complete their three hours of mandatory training.

Held as a pre-conference workshop on Friday 11 October, the training will explore a myriad of embarrassing conditions that pharmacy assistants can be exposed to, equipping them with the skills to handle potentially uncomfortable situations with customers with more confidence.

Workshop Facilitator and Guild Queensland Training Manager, Ali Hope said pharmacies should take advantage of the complementary QCPP Approved Refresher Training for conference delegates.

“The QCPP Approved Refresher Training at PA2019 offers a comprehensive way for pharmacies to ensure all pharmacy assistants are up to date with the yearly training requirements,” Mrs Hope said.

“The training is topical, fun and interactive and will enable pharmacy assistants to handle embarrassing situations in the pharmacy with ease.

“The interactive session will also build interpersonal skills and provide a networking session for pharmacy assistants from across the country.

“Pharmacies will benefit from the professional and personal development the conference offers pharmacy assistants, including updated pharmacy and product knowledge as well as management and operations training.”

The QCPP Approved Refresher Training is free for full registration delegates. The training is also open to non-conference delegates for a fee. Pharmacies which send two or more staff under a full registration ticket will receive a free APP2020 registration valued at over $1,000.

Alternatively, pharmacies can take advantage of a Friday registration special offer. For $195, pharmacy assistants will receive access to the QCPP Approved Refresher Training, Friday conference sessions (half day), welcome reception and trade exhibition. This offer is valued at $365.

Spaces are limited for the training, so pharmacies are encouraged to register their staff and take advantage of these special deals as soon as possible.

PA2019 will be held from October 11-13 at the Sofitel Brisbane Central.
