Leading sexual wellness brand LifeStyles and consent advocacy group Teach Us Consent are announcing their official partnership, with the two parties on a mission to make every sexual encounter safe, pleasurable and consensual.
To kick off the partnership, the pair can reveal that from mid 2024, each individual LifeStyles condom foil wrapper will now feature prominent consent messaging, with an estimated 13 million individual condom wrappers being sold in the inaugural year.
Under the partnership, LifeStyles will also donate 5 cents from every 10 pack of condoms sold to Teach Us Consent to help further consent education across Australia. LifeStyles plans to spearhead a number of ‘consent focused’ consumer campaigns, in consultation with Teach Us Consent, to drive behavioural change in intimate situations.
After being the first major player to add consent messaging to its condom boxes earlier this year, LifeStyles sees the individual condom foils as the next step.
Also launching today is LifeStyles and Teach Us Consent’s first partnered campaign ‘Let’s Talk Consent’.
The project aims to reduce this confusion by amplifying the conversation around consent.
Recent statistics show that 1 in 2 Australians are confused about sexual consent.
As part of the campaign, insights will be gathered from Gen Z to enable a richer understanding of the issue at hand. The peak of the campaign will see consent messaging in high reaching channels including out-of-home and social media.
