Beecroft PA to represent NSW in national PATY award

Pharmacy assistant Morgan Burnside from Priceline Pharmacy Beecroft in Sydney has been chosen to represent NSW at the National Finals of the 2023 Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award (PATY).

In addition to the main award, PATY features the Glucojel Super Star Award, which recognises outstanding customer service amongst the PATY state finalists.

Congratulations to Danielle Davis from Terry White Chemmart Coffs Harbour for taking out this year’s Glucojel Super Star Award for NSW.

NSW PATY State Winner

Mr Burnside (pictured in the feature image) was selected from 12 state finalists throughout the state workshops where participants demonstrated their pharmacy knowledge and showcased their skills in customer service and leadership.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s NSW Branch President, David Heffernan congratulates Mr Burnside for his valuable contribution to community pharmacy in Australia.

“This esteemed award was created to recognise pharmacy assistants who go the extra mile to help patients in their community and who are proactive in developing their own careers.

“Morgan has demonstrated a strong commitment to his work and to the industry, and that is what this award is all about. I congratulate Morgan for standing out as the top pharmacy assistant in NSW,” says Mr Heffernan.

Award judge Artie Kalogeropoulos from AFT Pharmaceuticals, the award’s major sponsor, was also delighted with Mr Burnside’s selection as the NSW State Winner.

By participating in the National Finals, Mr Burnside will be in the running to take home more than $10,000 in prizes including a $5000 cash prize, a training package, educational opportunities and other great rewards.
