30 6 MINUTES WITH ... FROM PAGE 29 This in turn has improved Broth & Co’s product demand and sales considerably. What are the product trends that you’re seeing within the health and wellness space and how does Broth & Co meet these trends? The trend right now is looking after yourself: eating intelligently and personalised – that is, to suit our individual requirements. Collagen is on-trend at the moment, as is anything to do with gut health. Broth & Co Bone Broths are collagen rich – 3g per 5g serve – as is our newly released IQ.N Intelligent Nutrition Collagen Beauty Range with Australian Superfoods. What’s next for Broth & Co? Do you have any new products in the pipeline that you’d like to share? We love to use Australian superfoods. Our latest offering is our IQ.N Collagen Beauty range of powders and bars. Skin Glow with Marine Collagen and Healthy Glow Collagen Peptides with Australian Superfoods Kakadu Plum and Finger Lime are high in antioxidants and vitamin C to assist the body’s own collagen production, and contain other gut health promoting ingredients such as probiotics to assist in reactive skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis. Broth & Co look after kids, also, with the cool, lunch box friendly VegEase Bars and Coco Squash & Cacao Beet, which cover a gap in the market for younger kids and toddlers. These are also available through API. Why should retail pharmacies stock Broth & Co products? What makes Broth & Co a standout compared with other similar products on the market? The Broth & Co Bone Broth range is definitely unique in that we analyse our broths for collagen and amino acid content, such as glutamine. The bone broths are all made from clean wholefood ingredients and include functional foods such as our Performance Boost Bone Broth with Beetroot, and Gut Loving Bone Broth with Fermented Miso, which is naturally rich in probiotics and prebiotics, to take the healing to the next level. We’ve also undertaken a gut study to investigate the gut healing effects of bone broth with the National Institute of Integrative Medicine (the ‘Bone Broth Gut Study’ on the ‘Effect of Broth & Co Beef Bone Broth on lower gastrointestinal disturbances’). How can pharmacies optimise their health and wellness shelves to increase sales of products such as Broth & Co products? What is your advice to retail pharmacies? Pharmacies have always been ahead of the game when it comes to supplements and superfoods and integrating Western medicine and traditional medicine, and now bone broth is the next superfood for pharmacy shelves. Bone broth is being increasingly used as a nutritional supplement for general health and wellbeing, sports recovery, joint inflammation and pain, gut health, beauty, skin and hair. It can easily be incorporated in the space of superfoods and nutritional supplements. What are three key things that pharmacy assistants should know when advising their customers on Broth & Co products, and health and wellness in general? The three key things that pharmacy assistants should focus on is that Broth & Co has been created by a pharmacist for health and wellbeing, that gut health is central to reducing inflammation and improving health, and that all \\\\\\\[products in\\\\\\\] the Broth & Co range come with health benefits in a tasty and easily absorbable form.
