innovation explored
Overseas innovative pharmacy practices will be the focus of one of the key sessions at this year’s Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP2020) on the Gold Coast this month.
Presented by community pharmacist and 2018 Churchill Fellowship recipient Lucy Walker, the session will look at how Australian pharmacies can benefit from international practices and will detail the findings of an international pharmacy study tour undertaken by Ms Walker in September/October 2019.
“The fellowship was an awesome experience,” Ms Walker said. “I met many fantastic pharmacists and saw a variety of practices around the world.
“I focused on professional services, technology enablers and education.
I look forward to sharing the highlights of my journey at APP2020.”

Ms Walker is the owner of Lucy Walker Pharmacy TerryWhite Chemmart Goondiwindi, Queensland. Her pharmacy won the Guild Pharmacy of the Year 2017 award. She sits on the advisory board of TerryWhite Chemmart and is a member of the Pharmacy Guild’s Queensland Branch Committee and the Guild Member Services and Innovation Committee.
