In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation (WCH Foundation) and Big W have announced the creation of a breastfeeding space at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, the theme ‘breastfeeding support for all’ resonates strongly with this new initiative. Breastfeeding is a crucial aspect of infant health and development, and having supportive environments is essential for its success.
Paul Morton, Head of Fundraising & Marketing, WCH Foundation, said, “The WCH Foundation and BIG W are proud to contribute to this cause and support breastfeeding mothers in their journey. The creation of the breastfeeding room is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to the well-being of families.”
“In just our fourth year of partnership with BIG W, together we have raised over $500,000 for initiatives that create a healthier future for children and their families. We are incredibly grateful to BIG W and its customers for the overwhelming support we have received, which has contributed to state-of-the-art medical equipment, vital medical research and the delivery of important programs to support families in need.”
Dan Hake, Managing Director of BIG W, said, “BIG W has been proud to partner with the WCH Foundation, supporting its important programs that help children and families across South Australia.”
“Our store teams have always supported our fundraising efforts, but hearing the stories of how this fundraising helps makes it particularly important and close to our hearts.”
