A.H. Beard is partnering with Sleep Health Foundation to help Australians improve their lives through better sleep.
A.H. Beard, the 123 year old Australian made and owned sleep wellness company has today announced its partnering with Australia’s leading not-for-profit advocate for healthy sleep, the Sleep Health Foundation via membership of its Business Council in a bid to improve the nation’s sleep.
Driven by a shared commitment to increase awareness and education of the importance of sleep to overall health, A.H. Beard and the Sleep Health Foundation will work together on shared health initiatives that advance sleep health outcomes for all Australians.
Sleep is the first pillar of health, and its effects have a critical impact on overall mental and physical health yet according to the Sleep Health Foundation, 45% of Australians aren’t getting enough sleep with 20% suffering from symptoms of insomnia, a sleep disorder highly correlated to mental health disorders like depression and PTSD. It’s now more important than ever to drive education and raise awareness when it comes to sleep wellness particularly to those most vulnerable to sleep challenges — including shift workers, children and teenagers, new parents and remote employees — all of whom have specific sleep education needs that impact their alertness, physical and mental wellbeing.

Pearson recently joined the Sleep Health Foundation Business Council and will play an active role in advising the Sleep Health Foundation in engagement with government, industry and media in the delivery of education on the importance of sleep in a healthy Australian society.
Since its inception in 2009, the Sleep Health Foundation has been providing accessible, evidence-based advice to raise community awareness about sleep health through advocacy. Through membership of the Business Council and targeted education programs that will be developed, the Sleep Health Foundation and A.H. Beard will evaluate the importance of sleep for everyday health.

To support those who desire better sleep, A.H. Beard’s Sleep Wellness Centre offers a four-week sleep wellness program with advice and resources for achieving Premium Sleep for consumers and also have an extensive corporate program that is tailored to the specific needs of the employee base and wellness strategy. The centre also offers a by-appointment ‘Sleep Concierge’ which gives individuals the opportunity to speak with sleep specialists for a one-on-one personalised consultation on their sleep needs.
