INIKA Organic, said to be the world’s first plastic-neutral makeup brand, is ramping up its sustainability efforts with a new partnership with CleanHub, a global initiative focused on stopping plastic pollution before it reaches the ocean.

Through this collaboration, INIKA Organic has committed to recovering and recycling 5000 kg of plastic waste in 2025 — equivalent to removing around 100,000 plastic bottles from the environment.

For every product sold, more plastic will be collected and repurposed than is used, effectively achieving 0% plastic waste.

It’s said that the beauty industry generates more than 120 billion units of packaging annually, much of which ends up in landfill or pollutes our oceans.

Total Beauty Network CEO Liz Webster says the partnership reflects INIKA Organic’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and global environmental responsibility.

“Our partnership with CleanHub enables us to take real, measurable action against plastic pollution and is another step forward in our mission to lead the beauty industry toward a more sustainable future,” she says.

INIKA Organic has already reduced its plastic footprint by 84%, using 90% sustainable materials like aluminium, sugarcane, and post-consumer recycled plastic in its packaging.

The brand’s commitment will also support waste collection projects in affected regions, improving infrastructure and creating jobs in communities most impacted by plastic pollution.
