The passing of artist and cultural icon David Lynch has generated massive global publicity, especially in relation to his groundbreaking films, music projects and artwork.
Many people however are unaware of David’s humanitarian work promoting Transcendental Meditation through his global charity, the David Lynch Foundation (DLF).
A lifelong practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, David co-founded the David Lynch Foundation with author Bob Roth in 2005. The charity’s main purpose was to bring inner calm to at-risk populations living with chronic stress related trauma.
Since then, the Foundation has helped tens of thousands of people around the world who have experienced traumatic events to find peace through the daily practice of Transcendental Meditation – provided to them totally free of charge by the Foundation.
The Foundation David Lynch started currently provides stress resilience and trauma recovery programs for veterans and defence personnel, frontline healthcare workers, first responders, prisoners, people traumatised by natural disasters, victims of domestic violence and indigenous populations in the US and Australia.
The Foundation has also received funding support from the US Department of Defence because of overwhelming scientific evidence that the daily practice of Transcendental Meditation provides trauma resilience and helps heal the effects of chronic PTSD in active and former service personnel.
