Pharmacy Networks Offer Free Report on Double Dispensing and its Impact on Pharmacies

Following the government’s recent announcement on double dispensing, pharmacists have been left stunned with many questions about the potential impact on their ability to serve customers and maintain staff due to direct effects on pharmacy income. A team of concerned pharmacists from networks including Platform Alliance Group, Amcal, Capital Chemists and DDS, in conjunction with NostraData, have come together to offer a free report to all owners who register for it.

“We understand that pharmacists are concerned about the impact of double dispensing on their businesses and wanted to provide them with some concrete information that can help them navigate this new landscape,” said Nick Biggs, a spokesperson for the supportive networks.

The report, made possible by the incredible support from community pharmacy, offers an in-depth analysis of the potential effects of double dispensing on pharmacies, including its impact on patient care, customer service, staff retention, and pharmacy income. The report will also include information on mitigating these impacts and maintaining a thriving pharmacy business to help support the health of local communities.

“We’ve worked alongside the Guild Health Economics team and conducted some advanced comparative analyses with concerned pharmacists to make our information as robust as possible. We’re grateful for their support,” added the spokesperson.

The report will be updated regularly as new information becomes available to ensure that pharmacists stay informed about the potential impact of announced changes on their businesses. Thanks to the support of pharmacy groups and the Guild, the report will continue to be offered free of charge.
