The Federal Government’s Grant Program achieved its aim of helping to boost the business events sector, with thousands of talented staff employed to make APP2021 a memorable experience for all attendees.
With the Federal Government confirming that $1,361,041.67 was directly provided to many APP2021 sponsors and exhibitors, the Grant was a welcome bonus after the trade exhibition at APP2020 had to be sadly cancelled in March 2020, due to the escalating risk from Covid-19.
Funding was provided directly to sponsors and exhibitors as part of the $50M Grants Program to support the post-Covid economic recovery of the business events sector.
Thanking the Morrison Government on behalf of the pharmacy industry for their contribution and support, APP Convenor and former Guild National President, Kos Sclavos AM, says the “Business Events Grant Initiative encouraged growth”.
“APP2021 saw thousands of attendees, exhibitors and sponsors being able to connect, network and generate future business opportunities,” says Mr Sclavos.
“The Federal Government’s Business Events Grant supported many in the pharmacy industry after what was a tough 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We look forward to seeing everyone again at APP2022, which is being held on 24-27 March 2022, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.”
With APP2022 registrations opening in September 2021, Mr Sclavos encourages “everyone to sign-up [to the APP website] for exclusive updates and to be the first to receive information and special offers”.
“In the meantime, please join us for Pharmacy Connect in Sydney 2-4 September 2021,” he says.
