WHAT’S ON 13 Rare Disease Day 28 February Rare Disease Day is about raising awareness about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives. It targets primarily the general public, while seeking to lift awareness among policy makers, public authorities, industry representatives, researchers and health professionals. One in 20 people will live with a rare disease at some point in their life, but despite this, there’s no cure for most rare diseases, and reportedly many go undiagnosed, which makes it even more important to spread the word about rare diseases.
