                 60 SKIN FIX
 EXERCISE OPENS THE DOOR TO
healthy skin
PBy Nerine Zoio.
eople across Australia – and the world for that matter – irrespective of nationality, status, colour or creed, want their skin to be as healthy, clear and glowing as possible, as it’s one of the first things they present to
the world.
This makes for a lucrative business the world over. From
serums and in-clinic treatments spanning microdermabrasion, medi-aesthetic face peels, and micro-needling, to LED light therapy and the endless array of oral medicines, creams, lotions and potions that promise translucent, supple, aqueous, and ageless skin – the opportunities in the skin world
are endless.
But while there are endless products promising glowing skin,
one, often overlooked, skin treatment is exercise.
Lia Mahony, pharmacist at Tamworth Discount Drugstore in
NSW, says cardiovascular and other forms of exercise should get more attention as they can do wonders for the complexion as well as provide a sense of wellbeing and a better functioning heart and lungs, strengthened bones and muscles, and more brain power.
Nutritionist, health expert, author and director and founder of superchargedfood.com, Lee Homes agrees, saying exercise positively affects cardiovascular blood pressure, blood sugar, muscle tone and cholesterol, and skin detoxification.
