They give essential tips on getting through the cough and cold season – along with the COVID-19 pandemic – and share their go-to products for maintaining a healthy immune system. Kane Forbes, Victoria – Casterton Pharmacy What’s your advice for getting through the cough and cold season this autumn/winter? How can we stay healthy, considering also the COVID-19 pandemic? In winter, avoid coming out into the cold, and try to stay warm. Take immune boosters and continue physical exercise. \[Regarding\] COVID-19, all we need to do is follow the advice from the government so that it’s over sooner rather than later. If we adhere to these guidelines, we’ll all be fine. What are your go-to products for keeping a healthy immune system over the cooler months? Eat a variety of nutritious and delicious foods, and stay active and hydrated in these times. During COVID-19, wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 30 seconds, use alcohol-based hand rubs, maintain social distancing (minimum 1.5m) and avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. #StayHome What are your go-to products for keeping a healthy immune system over the cooler months? I think it’s time for us to slow down, and for a change, if we feel like we’re getting a bit sick and run down, we need to listen to our bodies and let them rest rather than mask symptoms and carry on.
