Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week turns 10

Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week (5-11 September) is Australia’s biggest event dedicated to the health of women, girls and gender-diverse people in Australia.

This year’s campaign will focus on the top five concerns in women’s health:

  • Menopause;
  • Pelvic health;
  • Mind health;
  • Movement;
  • Health checks.

It will also remind women that it’s okay to put themselves first.

As part of the 10th birthday celebrations, Jean Hailes is inviting groups from across Australia to register their events and join a network of more than 1000 Women’s Health Week hosts.

Registrations are free and now open.

Hosts will receive a promotional toolkit, event promotion on the Women’s Health website, VIP access to webinars, a Jean Hailes resource catalogue, educational toolkits and much more.

Janet Michelmore AO, CEO of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, says that after the last two years it is time for women to put themselves and their health first.

“This Women’s Health Week we also want women to know they are not alone, and getting together to support each other is a great step to good health,” says Ms Michelmore.

“Getting involved is easy. You can join a local event, walk with friends, watch a webinar or simply make a booking for that overdue check-up.”

2022 marks a special year in the history of the organisation, with Women’s Health Week celebrating its 10th anniversary and Jean Hailes for Women’s Health celebrating its 30thanniversary.
