Ensuring a seamless APP experience

With less than a week to go until APP2021 attendees are reminded of a few housekeeping changes that will ensure a smooth and seamless APP experience for all, in light of the changes required to meet Covid-safe guidelines.

Most delegates will be familiar with check-in processes, physical distancing protocols and adjusting to Covid requirements when travelling, so with a bit of preparation, Kos Sclavos AM, APP Convenor and former Guild National President assures that “APP will be a seamless experience”.

“This year APP will be run a little differently to previous years, but rest assured you can still have a great time reconnecting with colleagues, learning, visiting the sold-out exhibition to meet with suppliers and having lots of fun at the social events,” says Mr Sclavos.

Mr Sclavos reminds attendees to ensure required apps are downloaded ahead of the event, such as the Queensland Government ‘Check in Qld’ app and the APP2021 conference app, both available for free via the Apple App Store and via Google Play.

“You can’t beat the APP2021 Conference app for a Covid-safe way to view the program, CPD information and trade exhibition details, and to exchange contact details,” says Mr Sclavos.

He adds that it’s also important for attendees to check out the APP program, to “book your name badge collection window, and familiarise yourself with conference entry points”.

“This will be a Covid-safe event,” says Mr Sclavos, “we’ll all have to check in daily and other precautions, such as Perspex screens, socially distanced seating and Covid ushers, will all be in place.”

Mr Sclavos points out that to ensure Covid-safety main sessions will require attendees to be physically distanced, those unable to find seating in the main sessions can still “enjoy the sessions live in comfortable overflow seating areas”.

“Most importantly, with a little bit of planning, no one will miss out on Any APP activities or sessions,” says Mr Sclavos.
