Annual Healthy Kids’ Guide Series launched

Community pharmacy, Guardian has launched its annual Healthy Kids’ Guide Series in a refreshed digital format to better meet the changing needs of Australian parents.

The online series, hosted by Guardian pharmacist, Jessica Burrows, has been launched in support of the St Vincent de Paul Society’s (Vinnies) ‘Back to School’ campaign, providing disadvantaged children with essential items such as learning materials, uniforms, and food to support good nutrition.

The free resource helps parents better identify and manage common health conditions such as sun safety and eczema, as well as general advice on kids’ well-being including screen-time and exercise.

“The Healthy Kids’ Guide Series has always embodied Guardian’s ambition to look after its communities and provide opportunities for better patient outcomes for more than 20 years,” Head of Guardian, Kurt O’Brien said.

“Excitingly, this year we have made it even easier for our customers to take advantage of the series, through interactive QR codes in-store and an online Healthy Kids’ Guide hub with dedicated content for parents.

“The new online format takes an already successful Guardian program into the digital sphere, evolving to our customers’ needs, whilst providing greater opportunities for our franchise partners to engage with customers in new ways.”

The Healthy Kids’ Guide Series includes links to donate to Vinnies’ Back to School appeal to help provide students with essential items to help them learn.

The digital Healthy Kids’ Guide Series is available online now and accessible via QR code in participating Guardian Pharmacies.
