Roger Kluth has been appointed as the National Pharmacy Account Manager at Gold Cross products and services, a role that has relationship accountability for the Glucojel product range within community pharmacy.

The role also involves relationship management of Gold Cross endorsed partners.

According to Gold Cross General Manager, Jason Rose with the company’s confectionary strategy evolving and with the launch of Glucobears, there was a need to bolster the team with a National Account Manager – someone who can work with all of the relevant community pharmacies, groups, banners and independent pharmacies.

“Roger is a registered pharmacist with a history of working for multiple pharmacy brands and organisations both in Australia and the UK,” says Mr Rose.

“Following a 15-year career with Boots The Chemists in the UK, he has held management roles in retail operations, professional services and human resources in several pharmacy groups in Australia.

“These groups included pharmacies operating under the TerryWhite Chemmart, Amcal and Discount Drug Stores franchises as well as independently branded Pharmacies.

“He brings experience in senior category and buying positions from his time at both TerryWhite Chemmart and the Sigma Healthcare portfolio of pharmacy brands including Amcal and Guardian.”

Additionally, Mr Rose has worked as National Business Manager at a Melbourne-based brokerage, and as Pharmacy Brands Business Development Manager within the API wholesale division, which showcases his significant exposure to working in sales environments and unique experience across the pharmacy industry.

“Roger joins the Gold Cross team having most recently been working with the Healthyworld Group as the Professional Services Manager,” says Mr Rose.

“Roger officially starts with Gold Cross on Monday 8 November.

“Gold Cross is also in the stages of finding a replacement Brand Manager for Glucojel off the back of Karen Ross’ (Head of Marketing) decision to retire from Gold Cross after 20 amazing years with the company.”
