Amcal Pharmacy and Foxtel have released the trailer for the second season of Gen Well, ahead of its premiere on Monday, 5 October.
The 10-episode series will screen at 8:30pm AEDT on Foxtel’s LifeStyle channel and BINGE, and for the first time will also air on free-to-air television, with a Saturday 1:30pm slot on Channel 9.
Hosted by Ali Daddo, the show follows everyday Australian families as they work through various health and wellbeing challenges with support from healthcare professionals and Amcal pharmacists.
This season’s topics include gut health, women’s health and skincare.
The season returns with a fresh line-up of families, including time-poor parents, grandparents, a content creator and beauty salon owner, and a former Australian cricketer and his family.
Reflecting the personal side of wellbeing
Tony Bassaly, General Manager of Franchise Brands at Amcal, says Gen Well reflects the increasingly broad and personal nature of health and wellbeing.
“From managing busy family life to navigating changing health needs throughout the years, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing,” he says.
“Gen Well captures that reality, giving viewers the opportunity to see different perspectives and experiences, while highlighting the important role the right support can play in helping people prioritise their health and wellbeing.
“Our Amcal Pharmacists are there to provide practical and personalised guidance when Australians need it, and we’re delighted to showcase the diverse ways your local pharmacy can support you and your family across different stages of your health and wellbeing journey.”
A continuing partnership
Alexandra Hazlehurst, Head of Narrative at Foxtel Media, says Foxtel is delighted to bring Gen Well back for a second season, continuing its unique blend of entertainment, expert insight and relatable health conversations.
“At Foxtel, we strive to create content that enriches and entertains Australians from all walks of life. Gen Well embodies that ambition, making conversations around health feel accessible, engaging and relevant,” she says.
“With Ali’s warmth and curiosity at the heart of the series, supported by trusted health professionals, we hope viewers feel entertained, informed and inspired to think about their own wellbeing and that of their families.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Amcal to deliver another engaging and impactful season to Australian audiences.”
Gen Well season two is produced for Foxtel by The Precinct, in partnership with Amcal Pharmacy.
